The rumble of motorcycles in the Ozark Mountains of Northwest Arkansas is in full roar Sept. 26-29 during the annual Bikes, Blues, & BBQ rally. This much anticipated event brings thousands of motorcyclists and people to the region and has grown way beyond its Fayetteville origins.
Here are three reasons why Bella Vista is the perfect hub for all of your Bikes, Blues & BBQ fun:
1) Best lodging for you and your bike.
After a nice day of riding, there’s nothing like pulling into the driveway of a home, where you can stretch your legs and park your bike in the garage.
Renting a private home provides more privacy, flexibility and comfort for you during the Rally. Bella Vista has fully-furnished homes and townhomes by the night, week, or month. Accommodations are available to fit many lifestyles and budgets and are managed by Vacation Rentals, Inc, which has been in business since 1980 and has more than 100 home rentals to choose from. Some start at just $85 per night for two adults for the Rally.
2) Accessibility to Interstate 49 and great routes.
From Bella Vista you can jump right on I-49 to easily reach Bikes, Blues & BBQ events held all over the area, plus the two shuttle sites the Rally provides.
Head down to Dickson Street, Baum Motorcycle Village, the main music state, or the barbecue championship. You can also use the interstate to access roads leading to state parks, Eureka Springs, Civil War sites, the Buffalo National River, the famous Pig Trail, the Kings River as well as numerous other motorcycle routes. Wide open roads, curve hugging asphalt and scenic beauty can be found in all directions.
3) Scenic beauty of the town.
A stay in Bella Vista is an escape to rolling green hills of beautifully manicured golf courses and hardwood forests concealing well-groomed trails for hikers and mountain bikers. Lakes and streams challenge anglers and serve as peaceful respites. There are restaurants to meet a wide variety of tastes and styles – simple food trucks, well-known regional brands, country club type atmospheres and privately-owned mom and pop diners.
Bikes, Blues and BBQ is the world’s largest charity motorcycle rally that benefits women, children, and the underserved members of the Northwest Arkansas community. Over the course of its 18 years, it has raised more than $2 million for local charities. A non-profit organization, it prides itself in being a family-friendly event, inclusive of all members of the community.
